The Novi Robotics Foundation was established to support robotics in Novi and, especially, to extend that mission throughout the greater Metro Detroit area. Our purpose includes helping more young people find a place in robotics and supporting a community that can carry that opportunity forward.
What we want to make possible
A lasting robotics program needs people who can teach, encourage, organize, and share what they have learned. NRF's mission centers on:
- Access: Helping more students encounter robotics and see a place for themselves in STEM.
- Continuity: Supporting opportunities for students to keep learning as they move between age groups and programs.
- Shared experience: Encouraging teams and mentors to help others develop their skills.
- Community service: Connecting the work of building robots with the work of helping people.
These priorities connect our support for Novi teams with our broader regional purpose.
A tradition of reaching outward

Growing opportunity together
We want the benefits of robotics to reach students across school and community boundaries. A successful season can build technical confidence, but it can also teach a student to listen, explain an idea, welcome a new teammate, and help someone else succeed.
